Alderbank Goes Virtual

Alderbank Goes Virtual

Last week, we held the virtual reality (VR) launch for the beautiful Altrincham-based Alderbank WA14 – a residential development currently being built on Ashley Road by our lovely client, Real Estate Investment Partnerships.

As the site is being sold off-plan, we wanted to immerse potential buyers into a virtual apartment to experience what will be an exceptional finish in a modern, spaciously designed home; something that’s very difficult to do with architect drawings and glossy brochures.

Now, I’ve got mixed feelings about what VR can offer and the technology has had a bit of a varied reception over the last few years; however, it was perfect in every way for this purpose. We were able to bring the architect’s drawings to life and let potential purchasers truly experience what their future home could be like. With a mix of single-level, duplex and triplex apartments, as well as six one-bedroom mews houses, the development has a lot to offer both young professionals and downsizers wanting to be near the hub of the enticing and ever-evolving Altrincham town centre.

It was a huge success, with people of all ages, demographics and social status positioning VR headsets upon their heads and diving into a virtual experience in the trendy surrounds of The Con Club in Altrincham. We can honestly say it was a completely new experience for most of our guests last night – especially one glamorous lady of a certain age donning the gear and throwing herself into a virtual world!

A week later, we’ve already been told that several units were sold at the event and people have been talking about how fun and different it was. Well done to our team and to our client who was excited and open to investing in a new method to market its fantastic development.

May my original opinions about VR be torn to pieces – I am now a VR convert!
