This week, a helpful group of Peppermints visited a wonderful organisation called Coffee4Craig – a Salford based homeless charity – to help out with some much needed TLC for its office space.

As the charity has become so busy since its launch 18 months ago, it was keen to call in some additional help and Peppermint was more than happy to pitch in.

We took a full day out of our weekly routine to give the charity’s office a good old spring clean, and organise the large quantities of donations that had been sent over from the general public and local businesses.

We unleashed our inner neat-freak and let ourselves loose in the Aladdin’s cave of donated treasures, from canned food to cosy bedding. We had Sean arranging the cupboards, Sophie re-stacking the shelves, as well as Megan and Carly creating inventories of stock and posting photos on social media. By the end of the day, the office looked as good as new.

Coffee4Craig co-founders, Risha and Fie Lancaster, were delighted with what we’d achieved in just one day…even the charity’s dog, Muff, showed its appreciation in our team photo!

Alongside feeding around 450 people during its weekly street kitchens, the charity also dedicates its time to helping people who live on the streets to find permanent accommodation.

Coffee4Craig relies solely on public donations, whether this is in the form of donations of money, food, clothing, or help from volunteers. So if you can spare anything, please get in touch with the team.
