Emails, phone calls, meetings, brainstorms… all in a day’s work for a Peppermint, or most of us these days for that matter. With our daily lives so hectic, it’s easy to forget to take a step back and make time for yourself.

So, we thought we’d take a breather and channel our inner ‘zen’ with a spot of yoga – but, before you think we’ve traded in our creative campaigns for yoga poses, it’s all part of our wellness programme here at Peppermint.

While the downward dog and lotus position may not be for everyone, we wanted to give it a go and decide for ourselves. With overall staff wellbeing being high on the agenda at Peppermint, our in-house wellness committee thought sending the team to yoga classes was the perfect way for them to wind down before the end of the working day.

So, armed with our mats and an open mind, we downed tools and headed for the course they’ve booked for us at Hale Yoga Studios. After a brief introduction from our instructor, Kim, we got stuck in and were soon picking up the basics – with some of us finding it a tad easier than others!

Kim teaches a mixture of Kundalini and Hatha yoga, which both aim to increase flexibility and awareness, reduce stress and help you to move towards the ‘union of body, mind and spirit’. The idea is that attendees come away feeling refreshed, energised and happier; and, after just three sessions, our yoga bunnies are already on track to becoming a team of calmer, more zen Peppermints!
